Walter Farndon was born in Coventry, England in 1876. He moved to America and studied at the National Academy of Design, eventually being elected as both an Associate and an Academician. He is known for his Impressionist paintings of harbor and shore scenes, but also worked in other genres of paintings, such as portraits.
