Edward Page was born in Groveland, Massachusetts in 1850, and studied under George Morse in Boston. He focused on landscape and marine paintings. He later moved to Lynn, Massachusetts, and became a member of the seven “Lynn Beach Painters.” Other members included Charles Greene, Nathaniel Berry, Thomas Clark Oliver, Charles Woodbury, William Partridge Burpee, and Edward Burrill. Page was a teacher at the Lynn Evening School of Art, and conducted several painting excursions to Ogunquit, Maine.
